SHELL TO SEA
LET’S SAVE THE OCEAN TOGETHER
Our organisation believes that shells do not belong in landfills and should be returned to the sea. After restaurants use the meat of shellfish. They just dispose of the remaining shells in the bin which eventually will land in landfills. We want to stop that, Our organisation aims to collect shells discarded by restaurants, including clams, abalone, and other shellfish, and reintroduce them to the ocean either as powder or as structures. SHELLs have many Benefits for the ocean. The calcium carbonate in the shells which will slowly melt into the ocean will help neutralise the rising acidity of the ocean, The calcium carbonate inside shells will also promote growth in other shellfish and calcium-reliant creatures in the ocean. Shells may also provide refuge and structure for other marine life. By collecting shells from restaurants and returning them to the sea, we actively promote these invaluable benefits, fostering a sustainable and thriving marine environment.
tons and tons of seashells are discarded daily from restaurants into landfills.

Hi my name is cameron and I am the founder of shell to sea. Since a very young age, I developed a great interest in marine biology. At age 6, I bought my first fish, a siemise fighting fish. That was the start of the all of my marine related Obsessions. Slowly i moved on to discovering salt water sealife and all the symbiotic relationships. the underwater world facisnates me and I want to share my passion with others and do my part to protect our marine ecosystem.
lets save our oceans together, one shell at the time!!!
